Buffalo Rifle “Gong Shoot”

$20  entry fee  —  Prizes will be awarded

Any traditional single-shot or lever action rifle.  Cast bullets, Only  (gas checks o.k.) .375 caliber or larger.  No Jacketed Bullets.  Any two-piece metallic sight. 

Sitting cross sticks & offhand.  Any safe powder charge. 

Register Saturday Noon to 7pm and Sunday 7am to 830am.

Range open for practice Saturday June 20 – 12 noon until 7pm and Sunday 7 to 830am Shooters meeting 9am. Match starts after the meeting.

6 targets – 350 to 670 yards.  1 Off-hand and 5 Sitting off Cross Sticks.

8 shots per target – Total of 48 shots for score.  NO sighter or fouling shots.

NO Concessions …. Bring your own lunch, snacks & drinks.  (No Alcohol)

Directions:

Take Exit 23 off I-90 – 5th Street West, toward the mountains. When the pavement ends the road becomes Soldier Creek Road (County Road 74). Continue west on Soldier Creek Road for approximately 3 miles. At the intersection of Soldier Creek Road and Keystone Road – County Road 98, turn right (North) onto Keystone Road. Watch for the SCSA and Flying Cowboys sign at this intersection. Continue northwest on Keystone Road for approximately 1/2 mile.  The clubhouse is on the right and the caretaker’s residence is on the left.  Just past clubhouse on the right, turn in and go between red building and the fence thru the wire gate, take a right down the hill, by the metal pipe gate. Go to the bottom of the hill by the pond, take a right and then the next left up the hill to the firing line. 

 

NO  CAMPERS  ALLOWED  AT  THE FIRING  LINE, as there is limited parking space.

Campers can be parked across the road from the Club House.   NO charge for camping, if you don’t want an electric hook up.  Potable water available, where you turn into camping area, watch for  the White hose, on the right.  Electric hookups (30 Amp) available for $10 per night.
