SCSA Public Events
Non-member participation is welcomed and possible for a fee within most events held at SCSA (league activities are an exception). However, SCSA hosts several FREE Public Events each year open to members and non-members alike and providing opportunities ranging from hands-on demonstrations of manufacturer products to sighting in rifles and handguns and more. Support personnel are on hand at these events to help and answer questions at no cost. Scroll down this page to learn more.

Manufacturer’s Demo Day
Demo Day has commonly been sponsored by Rocky Mountain Discount Sports (Sheridan), Bighorn Trading, and Weatherby.
Local businesses show up with handguns, rifles, ammunition, suppressors, scopes, and other accessories for all attendees to get hands on and try out for FREE. Co-sponsors supplying ammunition and accessories commonly have included Hornady, Vortex, Leupold, Walther, Ruger, SIG Sauer, and more.
Demo Day is open to the public at no charge (SCSA members and nonmembers alike). Don’t miss this opportunity to see how that product you’ve been thinking about actually performs for you.
Demo Days are typically held in May or June, check the SCSA Calendar for this year’s date. Dealer representatives and SCSA RSOs are present to answer questions and provide support.
Public Sight-In Days
Public Sight-In Days are held annually in September to give the public a chance to sight in rifles and handguns at No Charge for use of the SCSA ranges (members and nonmembers alike).

SCSA RSOs will be present to answer questions and provide support. SCSA provides targets, shot spotting, some spotting scopes, and some rests and sandbags. Don’t miss this opportunity to make sure your firearms are ready to go for hunting season and get knowledgeable help on getting your sights set just so and maintaining your firearms.
